Group files RTI application for Serial Numbers of BVRs ahead of limited voter registration
Election Watch Ghana has submitted a Right to Information (RTI) application requesting the serial numbers of all Biometric Verification Register (BVR) kits designated for use in the upcoming limited voter registration exercise.
Jude Balma, the convener of the group, outlined in a statement that they are also seeking details regarding the specific registration centers where each BVR kit will be deployed during the exercise.
The limited voter registration, slated to occur from May 7 to May 27, 2024, aims to facilitate the inclusion of new eligible voters, particularly those who have recently turned 18, into the voter register.
