AMA Executive Committee endorses Mayor’s bold development agenda for Accra

The Executive Committee of the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (A.M.A.) in the Greater Accra Region has unanimously endorsed a sweeping set of initiatives introduced by the Mayor of Accra, Michael Kpakpo Allotey, signalling a renewed commitment to transformative governance and sustainable urban development.
The adopted proposals, which span key areas such as sanitation, infrastructure, digitalisation, revenue mobilisation, and community engagement, are expected to usher in a new era of efficiency and accountability in the management of the capital city.
Mayor Allotey, in presenting the roadmap, emphasised the urgent need to reposition Accra as a clean, resilient, and globally competitive city.
He described the initiatives as part of a broader vision to modernise urban governance, improve service delivery, and enhance the quality of life for residents.
The Committee's unanimous approval reflects strong institutional backing for the Mayor’s vision, setting the stage for swift implementation in the coming months.
