Asiedu Nketia pledges commitment to Keta Port Project
Mr Asiedu Nketia made the pledge during his Thank You Tour of the Keta Constituency, where he met with party executives and supporters at Dzelukope as part of his wider engagements in the Volta Region.
Addressing party members, the NDC Chairman encouraged them to remain patient and steadfast, stressing that leadership requires courage and principle.
“If you want to do what is always done, you won’t make history.
Do what is right,” he advised.
He lauded the party’s decision to distribute campaign materials directly to the grassroots during the 2024 elections, describing it as one of the effective strategies that contributed to the NDC’s victory.
Mr. Asiedu Nketia also urged party supporters not to lose hope if their expectations have not yet been met.
“Don’t lose hope. Put in your best even if you didn’t get what you wanted.
The longer we stay in power, the greater your chances of receiving what you deserve,” he encouraged.
Touching on the issue of security service recruitment, he called for fairness and transparency in the process to promote national unity and stability.
As Chairman of the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority (GPHA), Mr Asiedu Nketia assured constituents that he would personally champion the development of the Keta Port, adding that he would soon return to the area for comprehensive stakeholder consultations on the project.
The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Keta, Mr. Wisdom Bonbiru Seade, also addressed the gathering, urging the government to expedite employment processes for party supporters, noting that delays were putting pressure on local leadership.
He further appealed for the revival of stalled GETFund projects, which he said would help create jobs and improve livelihoods within the constituency.
