BOST Energies bids farewell to Bondzie, welcomes Acheampong as new Deputy MD
BOST Energies Limited Company (BOSTenergies) has held a send-off ceremony for its outgoing Deputy Managing Director (DMD), Ms. Adwoa Serwaa Bondzie, while officially welcoming Mr. Salifu Nat Acheampong as her successor.
The ceremony, held on Monday in Accra, followed the appointment of Ms. Bondzie by John Dramani Mahama as the new Executive Secretary of the Energy Commission of Ghana.
Management and staff of BOSTenergies gathered to honour Ms. Bondzie for her contributions to the company’s growth and to wish her well in her new national assignment.
Managing Director of BOSTenergies, Mr. Afetsi Awoonor, described Ms. Bondzie’s departure as “bittersweet,” noting that while the company would miss her leadership, the broader energy sector stood to benefit from her expertise.
He commended her for championing an organisational culture grounded in discipline, excellence, staff welfare and teamwork during her tenure as Deputy Managing Director.
In her farewell address, Ms. Bondzie expressed appreciation to the management and staff for their support, describing BOSTenergies as her home.
She reaffirmed her commitment to the continued success of the company, even as she transitions into her new role at the Energy Commission.
Mr. Salifu Nat Acheampong, who takes over as Deputy Managing Director, expressed gratitude to President Mahama for the confidence reposed in him and pledged his unwavering support to the Managing Director and the entire team.
He assured staff of his commitment to collaboration and to advancing the company’s strategic vision.
Mr. Acheampong is a seasoned communications and energy professional who has served BOSTenergies since February 2013 as Manager for Corporate Communications and External Affairs.
In that role, he led strategic communications initiatives, stakeholder engagement, brand management and media relations for the company.
Until his elevation, he served as Executive Technical Liaison, advising the Managing Director on key operational and strategic matters.
He holds a Master of Arts in Mass Communications from the University of Leicester, a Postgraduate Diploma in Diplomacy from the University of Nottingham, and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) from Nottingham Trent University.
He also earned an Executive Graduate Certificate in Managing Energy Transition from the University of Texas at Austin.
The transition marks a new chapter for BOSTenergies as it seeks to strengthen its leadership and position within Ghana’s evolving energy landscape.
