DVLA set to establish new ultra-modern operational centre in North Dayi
The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) is advancing plans to establish a new operational centre in the North Dayi District of the Volta Region, as part of its broader strategy to expand access to licensing and vehicle registration services across Ghana.
A DVLA management team, accompanied by Ghana’s Ambassador to South Africa, H.E. Benjamin Quarshie, and the Member of Parliament for North Dayi, Mr Joycelyn Tetteh, conducted a site inspection of the proposed facility in Anfoega earlier today.
Following the inspection, the team confirmed that the structure is fit for purpose and will soon be transformed into a DVLA Ultra Centre, designed to provide comprehensive licensing, testing, and registration services to residents of North Dayi and surrounding communities.
The next phase of the project will include fitting out the facility with modern equipment, training staff, and installing digital systems to ensure efficient and customer-friendly service delivery.
The Chief Executive Officer of DVLA, Julisu Neequaye Kotey noted that the initiative aligns with the Authority’s strategic objective of decentralising operations to bring essential services closer to the public, reduce travel times, and enhance road safety compliance nationwide.
The establishment of the new centre is expected to boost local economic activity and improve access to driver licensing, vehicle registration, and roadworthiness testing within the Volta Region.
