The Ghana Union of Traders Association (GUTA) has launched a comprehensive national monitoring tour to gain firsthand insights into the business environment and identify challenges affecting its members across the country.

Led by Madam Pearl Po, National Coordinator for GUTA's Women's Wing, and Mrs Gifty Fianu, National Secretary for the wing, the tour aims to develop effective solutions to enhance the performance and sustainability of businesses within the association.

The exercise, which commenced at Rawlings Park, involved engaging with members from the stationary and clothing sectors, with the goal of visiting all districts under GUTA's jurisdiction nationwide by next year.

Speaking to the media, Madam Pearl Po emphasized GUTA's commitment to supporting traders, stating, "GUTA is primarily established to support traders and has robust strategies in place to benefit its members."

The association is hopeful that the tour will provide valuable insights into the challenges facing traders, enabling GUTA to address issues impeding business growth and ensure the safety and prosperity of its members in the marketplace.

Several members expressed their concerns to the media, highlighting the urgent need for attention and solutions. GUTA's initiative is expected to contribute to the overall development of the business sector in Ghana.
