Ghana moves up to 12th on list of African countries with lowest fuel prices

Ghana has moved from 13th to the 12th position on the list of African countries with the lowest fuel prices.
Worldwide, the West African country is ranked 48th given its average petrol price of US$1.029 per litre as of April 2025, according to globalpetrolprices.com.
Libya retained the number one position in Africa with the lowest fuel price of $0.027 per litre on the African continent. It was the topmost globally, too.

At the beginning of April, prices of petroleum products rose marginally, with the National Petroleum Authority (NPA) reporting petrol prices rose by 2% to GH¢15.20 per litre, and diesel increased by 1.1% to GH¢15.35 per litre.
Meanwhile, Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) saw a marginal drop of 0.3%, as a kilogramme sold at GH¢17.30.
Crude oil has been selling low at about $65 per barrel so far in 2025.
