Golden Tulip hotel now Lancaster Accra
The Golden Tulip Hotel in Accra has changed its name to Lancaster Accra.
“We wish to inform you that from 1st of July 2022, the name of the hotel will now change to Lancaster, Accra,” a notice to guests visiting the hotel stated.
The change of name was necessitated by the new lessees of the hotel, Achour Holding Limited.
It assured guests that the change of name will not “affect normal operations of the hotel.”
The notice continued that the hotel under the new name “will be going through refurbishment by enhancing most of our facilities.”
A MEMO from the hotel dated Monday, 23 May 2022, on the subject “Update Lease agreement” to its staff said: “However, Achour Holding Limited operating as Lancaster Hotels will be the new Lessee and will take effect from 1st July, 2022 with same conditions as previously communicated."
“We urge you all to support the new company to ensure a successful take off,” the statement noted.
To confirm the change of ownership of the hotel, another MEMO dated Friday, 24 June 2022, directed staff to send “all uniforms with “Golden Tulip embroidery” to the linen room for a “new embroidered Lancaster Logo.”
