Inaugural London Gatwick to K’si direct flight delayed over short notice – GACL
The Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL) has announced that the inaugural direct flight from London Gatwick to Kumasi’s Prempeh I International Airport will not arrive as originally planned.
In a statement issued on Monday, 2 December 2024, the GACL attributed the delay to insufficient notice for the flight’s arrival, explaining that it would instead land "later this week".
The flight had been scheduled to arrive at the newly upgraded Prempeh I International Airport on Tuesday, 3 December 2024, marking a significant milestone in Ghana's aviation history.
Despite this setback, GACL reassured passengers and stakeholders, "The second flight, scheduled for the 15th of December 2024 remains unchanged".
