MASLOC strengthens ties with Nsawam-Adoagyiri Municipal Assembly on southern sector tour

As part of his ongoing Southern Sector Tour, a high-level delegation from the Microfinance and Small Loans Centre (MASLOC) has paid a courtesy call on the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Nsawam-Adoagyiri, Philibert Selorm Fummey, to explore avenues for enhanced collaboration in local economic empowerment.
The visit, led on behalf of MASLOC CEO by Deputy Chief Executive (Finance and Administration), Mr. Obibini Richard Lartey, sought to reaffirm MASLOC’s commitment to supporting entrepreneurs and small businesses in the municipality.
Mr. Lartey congratulated the MCE on his recent nomination and confirmation and commended him for the unity and calm that have characterised his leadership since assuming office.
He noted that MASLOC is eager to partner with the Assembly to deliver targeted financial interventions aimed at uplifting the local economy through accessible microcredit and support services.
Mr. Fummey, in response, expressed gratitude for the visit and pledged full support for MASLOC’s initiatives.
He underscored the importance of deepened collaboration between the two institutions to maximise the socio-economic impact of MASLOC’s operations within the municipality.
The delegation included Mr. Godwin Fiamor Webu, Municipal Administrator; Mr. Noah Agbeko Dumenya, Constituency Secretary; Mr. Stephen B. Ettey, Constituency Executive Member; Madam Abigail O. Ettey, WWWC Chairlady; and Mr. Haruna Ayuba Mohammed, MASLOC Eastern Regional Manager.
As part of the tour, the team inspected the MASLOC Zonal Office in the area, where it was discovered that the facility had been reassigned to another department.
The development raised concerns from the MASLOC leadership, who appealed to the MCE to reinstate the original office space or provide a more suitable alternative to ensure the security and efficiency of staff, documents, and operations.
Interacting with MASLOC staff, Mr. Lartey encouraged professionalism and ownership of responsibilities, stressing the importance of timely communication regarding critical administrative changes.
MASLOC reaffirmed its commitment to deepening its grassroots presence, expanding access to microcredit, and advancing inclusive local development through strategic partnerships
