Mahama pledges support for private sector growth after successful Kwahu Business Forum

President John Dramani Mahama has expressed his deep appreciation to businesses and institutions that participated in this year’s Kwahu Business Forum, commending their dedication to shaping the future of Ghana’s economy.
Speaking at a banquet held at the Jubilee House on Monday night, President Mahama noted that the forum, though hosted in Kwahu, had national significance and drew participation from diverse sectors of the economy. The 2025 edition was held under the theme “The Future of Businesses: The Role of the Financial Sector.”
The President highlighted the forum as a key platform for dialogue and innovation, emphasising his administration’s commitment to creating an enabling economic environment that supports business growth and job creation.
“We are determined to manage the economy in a way that creates real opportunities for businesses-big-big—big and small—to grow, thrive, and contribute meaningfully to national development,” President Mahama stated.
Chief of Staff Julius Debrah, who also addressed the gathering, announced that preparations are already underway for next year’s forum.
He disclosed that new measures would be introduced to boost participation from financial institutions and enhance the overall impact of the event.
The Kwahu Business Forum has grown into one of the country’s premier platforms for private sector engagement, offering business leaders and policymakers an opportunity to collaborate on strategies for economic transformation, he concluded.
