The newly appointed Managing Director of the Cocoa Marketing Company (CMC), Dr. Wisdom Kofi Dogbey, has vowed to lead the organisation with innovation, inclusivity, and a strong focus on improving staff welfare.

Speaking at a staff durbar in Tema to formally introduce himself, Dr. Dogbey expressed gratitude to President John Dramani Mahama, Finance Minister Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, and the leadership of CMC for the confidence reposed in him.

Describing the CMC as a “respected leader in the cocoa industry,” Dr. Dogbey emphasised the company's strategic importance in Ghana’s economic recovery and long-term growth.

He outlined a bold vision to transform CMC into a globally competitive force in cocoa marketing, driven by quality, sustainability, and stakeholder empowerment.

“We are all part of one team. Everyone matters. Everyone contributes. And everyone must feel valued,” he said, urging a cultural shift in the workplace by referring to employees as “team members” to foster unity and shared purpose.

Dr. Dogbey highlighted staff morale and welfare as a top priority, pledging an open-door leadership style and assuring employees of a non-partisan, inclusive environment.

“No one will be victimised for sharing honest feedback. My doors are open to all, regardless of where you are on the organisational chart or your political affiliation,” he assured.

As part of his plans to promote inclusive innovation, he announced the introduction of a digital suggestion box to enable anonymous contributions from staff at all levels.

“Innovation and efficiency will be at the heart of our strategy moving forward,” he said.

“Let’s think boldly—whether in marketing, operations, or sustainability.”

Dr. Dogbey also encouraged senior management to identify and nurture talent across the organisation, while promising improved working conditions and enhanced staff benefits.

“Together, we can build a stronger CMC and achieve remarkable goals,” he concluded.
