Multiple award-winning singer-songwriter King Promise has arrived in Singapore.

By his own admission, this is his first time in the Asian country.

He said so in a video montage shared with his fans on social media, in which he registered his excitement; firstly, for selling out the arena for a music concert tomorrow, Friday, April 26, 2024, and secondly, for the success he has experienced in the past year due to God’s kindness.

“I just touched down in Singapore – for the first time. We have a show tomorrow. It’s exciting times. I’m with the whole gang. Sold out [show]. Blessings to the Most High,” King Promise said in the footage showing him at the airport in Singapore in the company of his manager Kwaps and co.

In an X post, today, the Afrobeats superstar promised the Singapore event “tomorrow will be special [heart on fire emoji]”.

KP, as he is affectionately called, is the first Afrobeats act to ever perform live in Singapore, and will host his patrons at the Tipsy Unicorn Beach House, Sentosa island, tomorrow.

From there, he concludes his dates in Asia with stops at the Atlas Beach Club, Bali, on Saturday, April 27; and the Bengkel Space, Jakarta, on Friday, May 3.

Asia has shown overwhelming interest in King Promise’s music since his global hit Terminator, an Afrobeats/Amapiano song with remixes featuring Nigeria’s Young Jonn and Tiwa Savage, and Jamaica’s Sean Paul.

King Promise would write a fantastic story were he to lift the ultimate trophy (Artiste of the Year) on June 1, at Ghana’s foremost music awards show, the Ghana Music Awards, for the first time headline-sponsored by Telecel.

Apart from the Artiste of the Year nomination, KP has four other chances in the Most Popular Song of the Year, International Collaboration of the Year, Best Afropop Song of the Year, and Best Afropop/Afrobeats Artiste of the Year categories.

The TGMAs celebrates its silver jubilee (25 years) this year.
