“Chioma, can I go?” — Davido playfully asks wife after watching IShowSpeed’s shea butter massage in Ghana
Afrobeats star Davido sparked laughter online after reacting to a viral moment from US streamer IShowSpeed’s visit to Ghana, jokingly expressing jealousy over the streamer’s indulgent shea butter massage in Accra.
Davido shared a screenshot of IShowSpeed receiving the massage at Hamamat Montia’s Shea Butter Museum and tagged his wife, Chioma, playfully asking for her permission to enjoy the same experience. The post quickly caught attention, with fans amused by the singer’s light-hearted tone.
In the same post, Davido appeared genuinely surprised, wondering how he had never previously seen or heard of the cultural, beauty, and wellness museum operated by renowned beauty queen and entrepreneur Hamamat Montia, despite his frequent visits to Ghana.

IShowSpeed’s visit to the shea butter museum was one of the standout moments of his Ghana tour. At the end of the experience, about a dozen women massaged him simultaneously with freshly prepared shea butter. Reacting dramatically, the streamer made exaggerated sounds and facial expressions to show his delight before standing up and declaring, “I’m activated.”
Beyond the museum visit, IShowSpeed toured several notable sites, including the Asenema Waterfalls, the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park, and Independence Square. He also participated in a traditional ceremony where he was given the Akan name Barima Kofi Akuffo.
Davido’s reaction, prompted simply by following IShowSpeed’s livestreamed tour, highlights the growing influence of digital creators in reshaping perceptions and rediscovering destinations. The moment underscores how influencer-driven content can boost tourism, spotlight cultural spaces, and enhance a country’s global appeal in real time.
