Diana Hamilton reveals how ‘Aha Ye’ collaboration with Elder Mireku and Ntokozo Mbambo happened naturally
Award-winning Ghanaian gospel singer Diana Hamilton has opened up about the inspiring story behind her much-anticipated song Aha Ye, featuring legendary gospel icon Elder Mireku and South African singer Ntokozo Mbambo.
Speaking in an interview on TV3 , 2026, Diana Hamilton disclosed that the collaboration was never planned.
According to her, the song was born spontaneously during a moment of worship at Elder Mireku’s home.
She explained that what began as a simple writing session quickly turned into a deep spiritual experience.
While worshipping together, the melody and lyrics flowed naturally, leading to the creation of the song.
“It happened right from the start.
When I began writing, I found myself at Elder Mireku’s house.
We were just worshipping, and the song came to me.
I later realized that even though it’s in English, there was something special he brought to it that made it come alive,” she shared.
Hamilton also spoke about how Ntokozo Mbambo became part of the project.
She said the South African singer’s involvement was equally unplanned and felt divinely inspired.
According to Diana, Ntokozo’s name suddenly came to mind while she was driving.
Trusting her instinct, she reached out to her for a feature, and the response was immediate.
“When I called her, she said, ‘I don’t need to hear it, I’m in.
Just send me what you have.’
She didn’t even ask to listen to the song first,” Hamilton recounted.
The gospel star noted that everything came together effortlessly, describing the process as smooth and guided by faith.
The touching story behind Aha Ye highlights the power of worship, unity, and divine direction, making the collaboration even more meaningful for fans of gospel music.
