Medikal’s recent decision to appoint Eri The Highest as the new Public Relations Officer (PRO) for Beyond Kontrol (BYK) has sparked controversy, with fans criticising the move due to her past disagreements with the rapper. Despite Medikal urging supporters to embrace growth and forgiveness, emphasising that collaboration outweighs past conflicts, many fans remained unconvinced.

The situation escalated when Shatta Wale publicly weighed in, questioning the appointment and citing their history as a reason it was ill-advised.

Amid mounting criticism, Eri The Highest announced her resignation just 24 hours into the role.

In a tweet, she stated:
 "Note. I am no longer the PRO for BYK… Me p333 dey do PRO for 24 hours and still got paid."
