Mo hitmaker Piesie Esther has disclosed what led her to landing an ambassadorial deal with Flora.
Piesie Esther said it was usual of her to use white face towels, the downside being her makeup would leave them dirty after a little use.
“After a while, you even become shy using them,” she added, indicating this led her to “decide to use pocket tissues”.
According to Piesie, she initially bought a certain brand of said pocket tissues but that presented with another challenge – it would easily tear.
Thereafter, she found Flora but did not even notice the name, she said.
“After a while, taking it wherever I go, I noticed this particular one was different compared to the other one,” the singer-songwriter said. “Thus, I noted it, realising this is the quality one.”
She said she took it everywhere hence.
Since it was always on her, she said it would often be captured by the cameras on her media tours.
“People would send me pictures, circling the pack of the tissue papers by me. At first, I was wondering what that was about, not knowing they had noticed I love their product and they were pleased with my habit,” she remarked to Taller Dee on the No.1 Showbiz programme on No.1 105.3 FM, Friday, November 24, 2023.
Soon, the Gospel star, indicated, she received a call from Flora, during which she declared the tissue brand was her utmost favourite.
“Subsequently, through Serwaa, they came to gift me some, to which I exclaimed: ‘They have dipped their cassava in my stew,” she revealed in excitement.
“Following the gesture, I used Flora morning, afternoon and evening, and got my children into the habit also. I did this till eventually, I received the good news that the brand wants me to come join their family of ambassadors,” the 2023 Gospel Artiste of the Year at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards narrated.
She gave “great thanks” to the brand, and noted that their support “is good” for “the work of God” she is engaged in.
The second edition of Piesie Esther’s Made by Grace concert is headline-sponsored by Flora, and comes off on December 3.
Assisting her on the day will be other Gospel notables like Joyce Blessing, Perez Musik, Mavis Asante, Kofi Peprah, Nacee, Celestine Donkor, and the iconic Daughters of Glorious Jesus.
