GTA Deputy CEO praises Richard Nii Armah Quaye as chair of National Tourism Awards 2025
The Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA), Gilbert Aggrey, has lauded prominent entrepreneur Mr. Richard Nii Armah Quaye, popularly known as RNAQ, describing him as a visionary business leader and a model of purpose-driven success.
RNAQ, the founder of Bills Micro-Credit, the RNAQ Foundation, and the investment firm Quick Angels, oversees a portfolio of over 21 thriving companies, including Pizzaman Chickenman, Burger King, Sankofa Natural Spices, King Ranch, and Pinkberry.
Known for his focus on building businesses and empowering people, RNAQ combines entrepreneurial excellence with a commitment to social impact through his foundation.
Mr. Aggrey, who spent an hour with RNAQ in his office during a meeting facilitated by Chairman Nii Lamptey, to invite Mr Quaye to chair the upcoming National Tourism Awards 2025.
Reflecting on the discussion, Mr Aggrey described the meeting as inspiring and enlightening, highlighting the qualities that make RNAQ a transformative leader.
Among the lessons learned, Aggrey emphasised RNAQ’s:
Passion and hard work in entrepreneurship.
Teamwork and dedication to building large-scale businesses.
Deep knowledge of Ghana, having visited every region and major town.
Retail expertise, particularly in strategy, market expansion, and penetration.
Compassionate leadership, exemplified through initiatives under the RNAQ Foundation to uplift others.
“RNAQ is not just building companies — he is building a legacy, an ecosystem of empowerment, and a future where Ghanaian brands shine on the global stage,” Mr Aggrey said.
The GTA Deputy CEO also extended gratitude to sponsors, supporters, and the Authority’s team, including Hon. Minister Mavis Abla Dzifa Gomashie, CEO. Maame Efua Houadjeto, and members of the planning, jury, and sponsorship committees for their dedication to promoting Ghana’s tourism sector.
He further thanked President John Dramani Mahama for entrusting the GTA with the responsibility of organising the prestigious awards.
Mr Aggrey concluded by celebrating RNAQ’s impact on Ghanaian entrepreneurship, describing it as “truly priceless” and a source of inspiration for the nation’s future business leaders.
