Ghanaian reggae/dancehall artist JAH Lead has shared exciting details about his newly released EP titled Guilt of Music, describing it as a deeply personal project featuring five songs.

Speaking in an interview with Dr. Kay  on Accra 100.5 FM, Jah Lead confirmed the number of tracks on the EP and explained that the title reflects a personal realisation about his music journey.

“I’m guilty of the level of music I could have channelled out to my audience.

At a point, too much listening defuses you — you lose your authenticity and quality.

I was listening to too many people and too many opinions,” he explained.

He admitted that this reflection made him feel he hadn’t done enough for himself musically.

When asked by the host whether he truly believes this, he said:

“Yes, because there is more to do.”

Jah Lead also talked about the evolution of his sound.

He explained that his previous EP, Love Is Coming, had unique characteristics — lover’s rock, deep lyrics, pure reggae melodies, and authentic Twi vocals.

However, for Guilt of Music, he said he has shifted his style:

“This time around, I’ve moved it from lover’s rock to dancehall.

I’ve taken it way down and made it a Guilt of Music — One on One EP.”

JAH Lead revealed that he worked on the entire EP alone, with no vocal features.

“I am the only one who did all the songs. There is no featuring on the EP,” he said.

He added that one track includes a collaboration, but it is not vocal — it features DJ Money in a non-vocal role.

JAH Lead also spoke about the second track on the EP, “Ride With You.” He shared that the song was produced by Polebeat, while Gomez handled the mixing and mastering.

He further announced that a full reggae album with Gomez is in the works, set to be released soon and available globally.

With Guilt of Music, JAH Lead says he is redefining his sound and entering a new chapter in his career — one he believes fans will truly appreciate.
