Mavis Asante opens up on marriage, credits trust and transparency for a long-lasting union
Ghanaian gospel musician Mavis Asante has offered a heartfelt glimpse into her married life, highlighting the values she believes have kept her relationship strong despite life’s challenges.
Speaking during an interview on Hitz FM, the singer reflected on the realities of marriage, describing it as a journey filled with both difficult and rewarding moments.
According to her, like many women, she has faced emotional trials, but mutual respect and open communication have helped her navigate those periods.
Asante emphasised that honesty has been the foundation of their home.
She noted that she and her husband make a conscious effort to address issues quickly, forgive each other, and avoid keeping secrets.
She also praised her husband for treating her with kindness and respect throughout their years together, stressing that peace and safety in a relationship are non-negotiable.
Beyond emotional support, the gospel artiste revealed that they practice complete financial transparency.
Both partners have access to each other’s financial information and maintain a high level of trust when it comes to money matters, a move she says has eliminated suspicion and strengthened their bond.
