NFA pays film pioneer Kwaw Ansah courtesy visit

Kwaw Ansah, a revered Ghana film pioneer, has highlighted the importance of audiovisual media in preserving and promoting the country’s rich heritage to outline and drive productive values and national development.
He spoke when he received the leadership of the National Film Authority (NFA) when they paid him a courtesy visit.
Kafui Danku-Pitcher, Executive Secretary of the NFA, noted the purpose of the visit was to recognise the indispensable value of engaging with and learning from industry captains and legends in the spirit of collaboration and as part of a strategic NFA agenda aimed at the growth, sustainability and universal competitiveness of the local film industry.
NFA Deputy Executive Secretary James Gardiner asserted achieving the aforementioned would be greatly enhanced by the appreciation and use of local languages in households and same being passionately promoted in audiovisual productions.
He underlined celebrating film pioneers like Kwaw Ansah was essential, too.
The NFA will engage more veterans.
