Naa Ashorkor of Asaase Radio tests positive for coronavirus
Broadcaster and actress Naa Ashorkor has confirmed that she has tested positive for coronavirus.
Via social media, the show host of Between Hours on Asaase Radio on 19 October 2020 stated that she took a COVID-19 test last Thursday, 15 October 2020 and the result came out positive.
She said: “I am feeling okay, following my doctor's instructions, and currently self-isolating at home.”
She also advised her fans, followers and the general public to adhere to all the safety protocols strictly.
“The virus is real. It is still out there. Don't forget all the safety protocols. Wear your mask at all times. Wash your hands with soap under running water. Use an alcohol-based hand sanitiser.
“Stay safe. Covid is still out there,” she added.
Meanwhile, Asaase Radio has confirmed that one of its staff members has tested positive for COVID-19.
A statement issued by the media organisation on Monday, 19 October 2020, said: “Asaase Radio confirms that one member of its staff has tested positive for COVID-19, as of Saturday, 17 October, 2020. The individual is well and currently self-isolating in accordance with the laid-down protocols.
“As a follow-up, Asaase Radio will commence a full scale re-test of all staff in order to quickly identify any other cases, if they so exist, and ensure the continued protection of other workers, their loved ones, visitors to the station and the general public.”
