P-Square: Peter Okoye testifies against elder brother Jude in money laundering case

Peter Okoye, half of Nigerian Afropop superstars P-Square, has lamented the betrayal of his twin brother Paul and elder brother Jude.
On Instagram (IG), the singer sensitised his followers about ways which family members could “manipulate” them knowing they would least expect it.
He underlined the traits of an healthy family, and emphasised he now valued his “sanity” above everything else including his family of orientation.
“Don’t let ‘family’ be the reason you’re drowning in silence. I did – for over 20 years plus. And it almost cost me everything. But now I know better – love doesn’t manipulate, loyalty doesn’t betray and family does not steal from you. Family that steals and breaks you isn’t family at all,” Peter, alias Mr P, wrote.
“Real family doesn’t drain you, shame you, discriminate against you or ignore your pain. My sanity matters. My mental health is a priority. If it costs my mental health, then it’s too expensive.”
Peter has testified against Jude as the latter faces money laundering charges.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is currently trying Jude and Northside Music Limited over a seven-count charge of laundering N1.38 billion, $1 million and £34,537.59.
On Monday, April 15, 2025, he gave his testimony in front of Justice Alexander Owoeye at the Federal High Court, Lagos.
According to Mr P, in late 2022, he allegedly learned Jude had created a company called Northside Music Limited similar to Northside Entertainment Ltd. He said this company was once used by Jude to manage P-Square, adding Jude, together with his twin Paul (Rudeboy), used the company to launder P-Square’s money.
