‘Rise’: Rocky Dawuni thrilled over ‘global attention’ given his latest single due to Grammy nomination

Rocky Dawuni is in high spirits even though he did not pick up a Grammy award for his latest song.
Rise, a single that heralds the Ghanaian international singer-songwriter and record producer’s upcoming album, was nominated for a Best Global Music Performance Grammy award. However, Sheila E’s Bemba Colora ft Gloria Estefan & Mimi Succar took the honour.
Over the course of his career, Rocky Dawuni has received four Grammy nominations, the 2025 edition recording his latest.
“It was an honor to join other #Grammy nominees and winners from around the world in celebrating the power of music to bring people together at the 67th Annual Recording Academy / GRAMMYs Awards,” Dawuni wrote on Facebook, Tuesday, February 4.
“Rise is a song that speaks to the consciousness that is so needed in this time. I am thrilled for the global attention that this nomination has brought on to this first single from my forth coming album.”
“Thank you to the amazing #Rise team Nabeyin, Roahn Hylton, Cary Sullivan, Twinsdntbeg Senior as well as well as all of the amazing musicians, designers and creatives who all contributed immensely to realizing this dream and creating history together,” he saluted.
The 67th Grammys took place on Sunday, February 2 at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California, USA.
