Shatta Wale apologises after on-stage scuffle, praises bodyguard Abonko’s ‘top-tier protection’
Ghanaian dancehall star Shatta Wale has publicly apologised after a brief on-stage altercation involving his bodyguard, Abonko, and Mc Kojo Manuel.
The incident, which caught the attention of fans and industry observers, occurred when Abonko pushed Kojo Manuel for getting too close to the artist during a live performance.
In a post shared on X (formerly Twitter), Shatta Wale described Abonko as “one of the nicest people ever,” but noted that when it comes to his safety, Abonko holds a critical role.
He reminded team members and collaborators to respect those boundaries while on stage.
