Stonebwoy, alias 1GAD, has indicated Asamoah Gyan paid for his leg surgery.

The Reggae/Dancehall star made the shocking revelation today, Thursday, January 26, 2023, via his 3-million-strong Twitter account.

Tagging the former Black Stars captain, Asamoah Gyan, Stonebwoy noted: "you came [through] for me around this same time 7 years [ago]."

"You decided to take my surgery cost," he explained, adding a note of thanks: "I'm forever grateful [heart, thank you emojis]."

In response, Gyan expressed shock at how soon seven years had gone by since the landmark benevolence which formerly was a secret.

"Oh woooow. 7 years already? [shocked face emojis]," he exclaimed. "I’m happy to be part of this."

He also noted: "It’s all from the heart [thank you emojis]."

"Time flies but I can never forget," Stonebwoy replied, revealing when the surgery and or payment took place was: "5 months after the passing of my mum [bandaged heart emoji]."

A week after her birthday, madam Catherine Satekla, Stonebwoy's mother, died at the 37 Military Hospital, Accra, Wednesday, July 29, 2015.

In 2003, the 'Everlasting' hitmaker was involved in an accident on the Tema Motorway. He was with his father, twin brother and elderly sister homeward to Ashaiman from Accra when, on an Accra-based UTV interview he said, "a police car crashed us." His right leg was broken due to the accident. He was hospitalised for six months. His mother asked him "not to undergo any operation for fear of worsening the situation."

The Bhim Nation leader after his mother's passing, however, “decided to operate on my leg. They implanted metal in my leg and because of that, I can now stretch my leg. Unlike before I could stretch my leg. It was stiff."

The operation, which was funded by Asamoah Gyan, alias Baby Jet, took place in Germany.

Gyan, a football star, businessman and a music hitmaker is Ghana's record top scorer with 51 goals. In 2018, Stonebwoy featured Gyan on his Afrobeats megahit 'Dirty Enemies'.
