US election 2020: Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson endorses Joe Biden and Kamala Harris
Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has become the latest celebrity to endorse Democratic candidate Joe Biden for the presidency.
In a video shared on social media, the 48-year-old actor is seen interviewing Mr Biden and running mate Kamala Harris ahead of what he calls "arguably, the most critical election our country has seen in decades".
Johnson tells his followers that endorsing a candidate "is something that I've certainly not done in the past, so I'm gonna go big - you guys know me, if I go, I go big!"
As a political independent & centrist, I’ve voted for both parties in the past. In this critical presidential election, I’m endorsing @JoeBiden & @KamalaHarris.

The Jumanji actor says: "As a registered independent for years now with centrist ideologies, I do feel that vice president Biden and senator Harris are the best choice to lead our country and I am endorsing them to become president and vice president of our United States."
When he tells the candidates he is supporting their campaign for the White House, Mr Biden replies: "Thank you. That means a great deal to us, for real."
Johnson talks about their political careers, and says Ms Harris's experience proved she is "smart" and "tough" and a "certified badass".
He asks the candidates how they would "earn the respect of all the American people" if they win the presidential race against Donald Trump in November.
