Wendy Shay visits prophet who said she’ll die; sings in his church
Afrobeat and afro pop singer, Wendy Shay has said having common sense makes one progress in life but “God’s grace and favour can exceed common sense.”
Wendy Shay made the comments when she visited Prophet Akwasi Appiah’s church on Sunday, 9 February 2020.
The artiste’s visit follows a prophecy by the Prophet also known as Jesus Ahuofe that: “Wendy Shay will be kidnapped and used for sacrifice” this year.
“Tell Wendy Shay that if she does not give her life to God, before December, some people will kidnap her to acquire powers. Spiritually, I see her being kidnapped and placed in a small room for 21 days and crying after which she will be sacrificed. Wendy Shay this is a bad year for her, tell her,” Jesus Ahuofe added.
Addressing the congregation during her visit to the church, the ‘Uber Driver’ hitmaker noted that her fans asked her to ignore the prophecy and use her common sense but she responded that “God’s grace and favour can exceed common sense”.
“When I first heard the prophecy, I posted it on my social media page and people were insulting the man of God but I asked them not to, because God reveals to redeem. So, people were sending me private messages saying Wendy use your common sense...It’s good to have common sense, it’s a blessing to have common sense, common sense makes you progress in life but God’s grace and favour can exceed common sense,” Wendy Shay said.
Continuing, she said: “In the Bible, David was a shepherd, common sense did not determine that he would become a king but God’s grace and favour made him a king in Israel. Common sense teaches us that when you go to school, or when I was younger I was told that, I’ll go to the university, finish school and find a job and become wealthy, but God’s grace can make someone who has never stepped foot in a classroom become wealthy to even assist the person who went to school to earn a PHD.”
Wendy Shay then led the congregation to sing songs of worship.
