Earlier today, I travelled to Fio, the hometown of Hajia Lariba Abubu, MP, Walewale Constituency, who doubles as the Deputy Minister of Gender, Child and Social Protection and also the adopted sister of the Vice President of Ghana.

The road from Janga linking to Fio is in a deplorable state.

I don't think even with an Aboboya, the Vice President and his sister can have access to that community.

I was unfortunate with my experience today passing through that road to Fio.

Little did I know the 2nd Gentleman would choose Ghana Card over thousand (1000) interchanges.

The road network within the Janga enclave, we will talk about it in another episode but today's story is the sad situation of the Pupils of Fio Primary.

Before the 2016 elections, we all remember the populist visit of Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia to Kperisi Primary School in the Upper West Region when their story broke out and his subsequent donation of furniture to the school.

He prioritized furniture then but today chooses Ghana Card over everything in the country.

I shed tears when I got to Fio D/A Primary School. I expect that journalists will follow up on this story.

Class one (1) to class six (6) had only five (5) dual desks.

Virtually, the Pupils have no option than learning on the bare floor.

The building for class one (1) to class three (3) is a death trap.

According to the Pupils, they always run out of the mud building when it rains bringing teaching and learning to a halt.

The situation of Pupils learning on the bare floor cuts across almost all the schools in the Walewale Municipality. But that of Fio Primary School is exceptional because that is the birthplace of your sister, Hajia Lariba Abubu, MP, Walewale Constituency.

Make it a priority to provide them with the needed furniture as you did in opposition.

We all know it was a populist donation to Kperisi Primary School and not prioritise Ghana card over everything because the pupils cannot learn it.
