Agricultural Small & Micro Enterprises Grant Initiative 2025 ‘fake and fraudulent’ – Agric Ministry warns

The Ministry of Food and Agriculture has decried “fraudulent publications online” about what is known as Agricultural SMEs Grant Initiative 2025.
The ministry said these publications were “intended to dupe the unsuspecting public especially those into small and medium scale agri-business”.
In its July 29, 2025, statement, the ministry explained, “The publications seek to lobby SMEs to register with an entity known as Global Farmers Association (GFA) located at Nairobi, Kenya, to obtain a certificate of accreditation under a non-existing Agricultural SMEs Grant Initiative 2025.”
“The website, email address and contacts provided by the publications have no connection whatsoever with this ministry,” the Eric Opoku-led ministry cautioned.
“By this Statement, the Ministry of Food and Agriculture wishes to inform the general public that the said SMEs grant initiative 2025 is fake and fraudulent. The Ministry disassociate itself from those publications and entreat the public to refrain from dealing with them,” the statement issued by the ministry's public relations unit emphasised.
“The general public is hereby admonished to disregard the said publication.”
The statement concluded, “For more enquire contact the Public Relations Unit.”
