Central Regional Minister calls on residents to join national clean-up exercise
The Central Regional Minister, Ekow Panyin Okyere Eduamoah, in collaboration with the Central Regional Coordinating Council (CRCC), has called on residents to participate in a two-day National General Cleaning Exercise aimed at restoring communities affected by recent floods.
The exercise is being held under the theme, "Our Actions, Our Future: Cleaning Ghana after the Floods."
According to the organisers, the initiative seeks to promote cleaner communities and build a more resilient Central Region through a coordinated clean-up campaign.
The National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) in the Central Region is leading the exercise in collaboration with the Regional Environmental Health and Sanitation Office and Zoomlion Ghana Limited across all Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies (MMDAs) in the region.
Residents have been urged to take part in the exercise, which the organisers described as a civic and patriotic responsibility aimed at protecting lives and property.
The organisers also encouraged citizens to support efforts to maintain a cleaner and healthier environment through active participation in the clean-up campaign.
