Gender Minister confirms recovered baby returned to mother at Mamprobi Polyclinic
The Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, Agnes Naa Momo Lartey, has confirmed that a newborn baby, reportedly abducted from Mamprobi Polyclinic, has been safely recovered and returned to its mother.
The incident, which sparked widespread concern, involved a woman who allegedly stole the infant from the facility.
Authorities acted swiftly following the report, leading to the arrest of the suspect, who is currently in custody at Dansoman Police Station.
The Minister’s visit to the clinic reassured staff and the public that the baby is safe and receiving proper care.
Law enforcement officials are continuing investigations into the circumstances surrounding the abduction to ensure accountability.
Hospital authorities have also reiterated their commitment to strengthening security measures to prevent similar incidents in the future.
