The Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, Agnes Naa Momo Lartey, has confirmed that a newborn baby, reportedly abducted from Mamprobi Polyclinic, has been safely recovered and returned to its mother.

The incident, which sparked widespread concern, involved a woman who allegedly stole the infant from the facility.

Authorities acted swiftly following the report, leading to the arrest of the suspect, who is currently in custody at Dansoman Police Station.

The Minister’s visit to the clinic reassured staff and the public that the baby is safe and receiving proper care.
