Gold smuggling: President Mahama announces 10% cut for whistleblowers

President John Dramani Mahama has announced a financial incentive for whistleblowers who provide credible information leading to the recovery of illegally traded gold or its cash equivalent.
He said informants will be entitled to 10% of the value of any seized assets.
The announcement was made during the official inauguration of the Ghana Gold Board (GoldBod) Taskforce at the National Security Secretariat in the nation's capital, Accra.
