GridCo to undertake planned maintenance at Mallam bulk supply point on May 18

The Ghana Grid Company Limited (GridCo) has announced scheduled maintenance works at the Mallam Bulk Supply Point on Sunday, May 18, 2025, as part of efforts to enhance power reliability and service delivery in parts of the Greater Accra Region.
According to a statement released by the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG), the maintenance will take place between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. and will affect power supply to several communities.
The areas expected to experience temporary power outages include Odorkor, Awoshie, Sakaman, Mallam, Darkuman, Santamaria, Kwashieman, Sowutuom, Ablekuma, Tabora, Joma, Manhean, Gbawe, Weija, West Hills Mall, Oblogo, Anyaa, Bortianor, McCarthy Hills, Mandela, Sunda Industries, Tuba, Dunkonaa, and Dansoman.
ECG has expressed regret over the inconvenience the exercise may cause and has assured residents and businesses in the affected areas of the company's commitment to restoring power promptly once the maintenance is completed.
The maintenance work is part of a broader strategy by GridCo and ECG to upgrade and maintain the country’s power infrastructure to ensure a more stable and efficient electricity supply.
