Man chews lady’s face after smoking “Koros” drug at Nungua Lorry Station
Residents and passengers at Nungua in the Greater Accra Region were left in shock on Wednesday morning after a man reportedly attacked and bit the face of a woman at the Nungua Lorry Station..
Eyewitnesses say the suspect, believed to be in his mid-twenties, had allegedly smoked a substance known locally as “Koros” shortly before the violent outburst.
According to onlookers, the man identified as Kofi began exhibiting strange behaviour moments after inhaling the drug.
He was seen staggering around the station, shouting incoherently, and then suddenly pounced on a woman who was waiting for a commercial vehicle.
“He just grabbed her and started biting her face like an animal.
Everyone was screaming,” said one eyewitness, who gave her name as Akua.
“It took several men to pull him off her.”
The victim, believed to be in her mid-twenties, sustained severe facial injuries and was rushed to the LEKMA Polyclinic for emergency treatment.
Health officials have described her condition as serious but stable.
Police officers from the Nungua District Command later arrived at the scene and apprehended the suspect, who reportedly resisted arrest.
He is currently in custody and assisting with investigations.

Meanwhile, authorities have expressed growing concern over the rise in abuse of “Koros”, a dangerous synthetic drug said to induce hallucinations, paranoia, and extreme aggression.
