The Pilgrims Affairs Office of Ghana (PAOG) has announced provisional return flight schedules for Ghanaian pilgrims participating in the 2026 Hajj, with flights expected to commence from June 12 and conclude on June 24, subject to operational conditions.

The schedule was developed following consultations between PAOG and NASSAIR, the official airline for Ghana Hajj 2026, and has been communicated to the Ghana Hajj Agents Association (GHAA) and other stakeholders to assist in preparations for the return journey.

According to PAOG, a total of 16 flights have been allocated for the repatriation of pilgrims from Saudi Arabia to Ghana.

Of these, seven flights are scheduled to arrive at Tamale International Airport between June 12 and June 18, while nine flights will land at Accra International Airport in Accra between June 18 and June 24.

The Office also assured pilgrims that the distribution of the two mandatory luggage bags allocated to each pilgrim would commence shortly.

It explained that each bag will have a maximum weight limit of 23 kilograms, giving every pilgrim a total baggage allowance of 46 kilograms.

PAOG further reiterated its strict zero-tolerance policy on the inclusion of luggage belonging to pilgrims who have independently arranged private return flights ahead of the official return schedule.

As part of preparations for the return journey, the Office announced that the weighing of pilgrims' luggage will begin on June 8, 2026.

In a statement signed by Mohammed Amin Lamptey, PAOG urged pilgrims and the general public to rely only on official information released by the Office and disregard unverified reports and misinformation circulating on social media and other platforms.

The Office assured stakeholders that it remains available to provide further clarification and updates regarding the return flight arrangements and other Hajj-related matters.

PAOG said it remains committed to ensuring a smooth and well-coordinated return process for all Ghanaian pilgrims participating in this year's Hajj.
