Planning Committee reviews preparations for 2026 State of the Nation Address
The Planning Committee for the 2026 State of the Nation Address (SONA 2026) has met to assess the level of preparedness among key stakeholders ahead of the much-anticipated national event.
The meeting focused on reviewing logistical arrangements, security coordination, media coverage, and protocol planning to ensure a smooth and successful address.
Officials led by Rockson-Nelson Dafeamekpor and Member of Parliament for South Dayi emphasised the importance of effective collaboration among all participating institutions to deliver a well-organised ceremony befitting the significance of the annual constitutional requirement.
The State of the Nation Address is expected to outline the government’s policy direction, achievements, and priorities for the year, drawing nationwide attention from citizens, political actors, civil society, and the international community.
