Record-breaking Europe summer camp set to inspire Ghanaian youth

Edibeck Consult’s flagship "Europe Summer Camp and Educational Tour" is poised to make history as 108 Ghanaian students and chaperones prepare to depart for a transformative three-week journey across Europe.
At today’s Pre-Departure Briefing in Accra, Managing Director Kwadwo Obiri Ampong shared the vision behind the program’s theme, Bridging Cultures, Building Futures, emphasising its role in fostering education, cultural exchange, and global exposure for Ghanaian youth.
A Journey of Growth
Launched six years ago in partnership with Summer Camps Holland, the program has grown exponentially from 13 participants in 2019 to a record-breaking 108 this year. “Our mission has always been to promote education, cultural exchange, tourism, innovation, and technology for youth development,” Ampong said in an exclusive interview.
“The growth reflects the increasing demand for transformative experiences that empower young Ghanaians to compete on a global stage.”A Unique European Experience
Ampong highlighted the program’s holistic approach, which distinguishes it from local alternatives.
The itinerary spans the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, and France, offering participants:
Intensive language courses, including Dutch immersion; Workshops on AI, sustainability, and entrepreneurship; University visits to foster cultural diplomacy and Exposure to cutting-edge technology in global innovation hubs
Multidimensional
“Europe’s summer camps provide a multi-dimensional model that integrates education, culture, and innovation in ways that are hard to replicate locally,” Mr Ampong explained.
He continued, “This immersion equips our youth with the skills and perspectives to thrive globally.”
Logistics and inclusion
This year’s logistics include dual departures, with an advance team leaving tonight (July 25) and the main group following on July 26.
Participants were selected primarily through partner schools, with open applications available online.
Demonstrating its commitment to social responsibility, Edibeck Consult fully funded four “smart-but-needy” students this year.
“While the program is parent-funded, our corporate social responsibility ensures we support deserving students annually,” Ampong noted.
Cultural pride as a global asset
With Ghanaian flags adorning the briefing venue, Ampong urged participants to embrace their cultural identity. “Represent Ghana unapologetically,” he said.
“When our students wore kente at the Eiffel Tower, they sparked global curiosity. True progress comes from embracing your roots while absorbing new perspectives.”
This message resonated with participants like Kofi Mensah, a university-bound student, who said, The MD’s call to be cultural ambassadors shifted his mindset.
“I’m not just visiting Europe – I’m showcasing Ghana’s brilliance,” he stated.
Building Futures
As the largest cohort yet prepares to embark on this life-changing journey, Edibeck Consult’s Europe Summer Camp continues to redefine youth development in Ghana.
By blending cultural pride with global exposure, the program is not only bridging cultures but also laying the foundation for a brighter, more connected future
