Samuel Huntor graduates with Second Class Upper honours
Broadcast journalist and Special Aide to the Minister for Food and Agriculture, Samuel Huntor, has marked a major academic milestone after successfully graduating from the African University College of Communications and Business (AUCC) with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies, earning Upper Second Class Honours.
In a heartfelt statement posted on his Facebook page, Huntor described the achievement as “one of the proudest moments” of his life, noting that the journey was shaped by the unwavering support of colleagues, mentors, and the university community.
Reflecting on his leadership roles during his academic years, Huntor recounted serving as a Congress Representative in Level 100 before rising to become the SRC Electoral Commissioner for two consecutive terms in Levels 200 and 300.
He said these roles strengthened his dedication to student leadership and taught him the values of integrity, fairness, and accountability, qualities he has carried into his professional path.
He expressed profound gratitude to SRC President Ernest Kpebu and Prosper Adjei for the trust and confidence they vested in him during his time in student governance.
“Their collaboration played an important role in my growth and performance in leadership,” he noted.
Mr Huntor also paid tribute to the university for providing an environment that “nurtures dreams, builds capacity, and shapes futures,” describing AUCC as a place of true transformation.
He extended appreciation to his course mates, study group members, and lecturers, acknowledging their collective contribution to his academic success through support, shared knowledge, and constructive challenges.
“As I step into the next chapter, I remain grateful, humbled, and inspired by everyone who walked this journey with me. This is our victory,” he wrote.
Samuel Huntor, widely known for his work in broadcast journalism and his role in the Ministry of Food and Agriculture, now adds this academic achievement to his growing professional portfolio as he prepares to transition into the next phase of his career.
