V/R: Accident claims a life, leaves 6 hospitalised in Ho

A tragic accident on Monday afternoon, February 3, 2025, in Ho, Volta Region, claimed the life of a 73-year-old woman.
Six others, including schoolchildren and a father, sustained life-threatening injuries and are currently receiving care at the Ho Municipal Hospital and Ho Teaching Hospital, respectively.
The swift response of the Ghana National Ambulance Service and the Ghana Police Service led to saving the lives of these victims.
A visit this morning to the named hospitals revealed all the victims were in stable condition. One of the students is expected to undergo a CT scan on the head, however.
Speaking to the nurses, they assured the patients were responding to treatment.
The accident, which occurred between the Kabore School Junction on the Ring Road and Ho SNNIT Flats Junction, involved a tricycle (Mahama-Can-Do) rider with passengers, and a Mitsubishi pickup with registration number GJ 3226-21.
The deceased woman has been identified as Madam Josephine Amegboe who was going for a family meeting at Ho Dome after visiting her nursing daughter who gave birth recently.
Police have commenced investigations into the accident.
