W/R: Newly enstooled Chief of Wassa Damang calls for peace in the community

The newly enstooled chief of Wassa Damang, nana kwaku Armah ll, has called on the youth in his community to maintain peace and order in the area.
He asked them to rally behind him to drive development in the community.
he said this after his installment as the chief of Wassa Damang.
To address the pressing issue of unemployment, Nana Armah II is promising to facilitate more job opportunities from the mining company operating in the community.
Despite Wassa Damang being a well-known name due to hosting one of the country’s largest large-scale mining companies, the community is facing a pressing issue of rising youth unemployment.
To address this concern, Nana Kwau Armah II, the Chief of the community, called for peace during a recent community gathering.
He assured the youth of his support in securing well-paying jobs, acknowledging the need for employment opportunities to sustain the community’s growth.
“Where we have reached is time for us to unite and maintain the peace we have, and translate it into the development we are seeking, particularly for Wassa Damang. I’m pleading with all the sub-chiefs in Damang and the families to support our developmental agenda. With one voice, I hope we can all achieve what we are envisioning for.”
Nana Kwau Armah II, once again, stressed his commitment to the youth, saying: “As your chief, I will do everything in my power to secure a certain quota of jobs for you from the mining company, going forward.”
Some residents of Wassa Damang shared their thoughts after hearing Nana Armah’s promise and assurance to create more job opportunities in the area.
“It’s time for us, the youth, to reap the benefits of the local mines. Currently, all the workers are from outside our community, and we’re often denied opportunities. We believe our chief, Nana Kwaku Armah, will listen to our pleas and create jobs for us. The community is counting on our chief to bring more job opportunities for young people like us,” one of them said.
Jones Nana Ntiful, a respected opinion leader in the community, expressed his confidence in Nana Kwaku Armah II, stating that he believes in his developmental plans.
After listening to his vision, Ntiful noted that Armah II genuinely has the community’s interests at heart. As a result, Ntiful declared that the community is ready to rally behind and support Armah II’s vision.
The Abusuapanyin of Damang Kwaku Ntiako is urging community members to rally behind Nana’s vision to develop Wassa Damang, calling for collective support to bring his development agenda to fruition.
“Let’s unite as a community and rally behind Nana Kwaku Armah, giving him the utmost respect and support he deserves. Together, let’s drive his developmental agenda forward and strive for community progress,” he urged.
