The Obuasi Circuit Court has remanded nine suspects into prison custody following an assault on police officers at the Tweapease Senior High School (SHS) park in the Ashanti Region.
The remand follows investigations into a viral video that captured the incident, which occurred at the Tweapease SHS park. The suspects have been identified as Joshua 'Joey B' Frimpong, Bannor Williams, Isaac 'Sporty' Dwumfour, Evans 'Pressure King' Bannor, Asiedu 'Case Close' Ronald, Sarfo 'Okele' Alex, Yaw Alex, Obidiaba Desmond, and Agyemang Emmanuel.
The accused persons were arraigned before the Obuasi Circuit Court on Thursday, January 8, 2026, and charged with assault on public officers.

Police say investigations into the case are ongoing, adding that efforts are being made to identify and arrest the remaining persons involved.
In a statement, the Ghana Police Service (GPS) cautioned the public that attacks on law enforcement officers will not be tolerated, stressing that anyone who assaults police officers will be pursued and made to face the full rigours of the law.
