Former BOST CEO Edwin Provencal arrested by EOCO at Kotoka International Airport
Former Chief Executive Officer of the Bulk Oil Storage and Transportation Company Limited (BOST), Mr. Edwin Provencal, has been arrested by the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO).
Classfmonline.com sources confirm that Mr. Provencal was apprehended at the Kotoka International Airport (KIA) while attempting to board a flight out of the country.
Details surrounding the arrest remain unclear, but sources indicate that it is linked to ongoing investigations by EOCO into alleged financial irregularities during his tenure at BOST and the controversial Gold 4 Oil deal.
Mr. Provencal, who served as CEO of the state-owned oil storage and distribution company from 2019 to early 2025, has been credited with spearheading several reforms within the company, including operational efficiency and digitisation, among others.
EOCO has yet to issue an official statement on the arrest or provide further details on the nature of the investigation.
