Police kills 5 alleged assassins who targeted Gomoa Fetteh chief
Police in the Central Region have killed five land guards alleged to have planned to assassinate the chief of Gomoa Fetteh, Nana Abor Atta, in the Gomoa East District.
The suspects were gunned down on Monday, 20 December 2021 at dawn – around 1 am, as they moved in a taxi with registration number GG 3427-21.
The suspects, were allegedly hired by a dissatisfied faction in a long-resolved chieftaincy dispute to carry out the assassination.
The killed assassins had AK47s on them with about 100 bullets.
The shocked chief expressed gratitude to the police for saving his life.
The remains of the alleged assassins have been sent to Police Hospital Mortuary for preservation and autopsy.
