There’s too much stealing in Chokor – Cephas Arthur
The Mamprobi District Police Commander, Chief Supt. Cephas Arthur has said that the rate at which stealing is ongoing in Chorkor within the Mamprobi district of the Greater Accra Region, is alarming.
He said this during the launch of the Mamprobi Basic Personal Security Education Campaign to sensitise residents of the area and its environs on the need to be vigilant.
Chief Supt. Cephas Arthur urged the residents to feed the police with information on the activities and hideouts of criminals in the community, in order to enable the police deal with them.
“We still record other less-serious crimes in our community. These include assaults, offensive conducts threats, public disturbances, causing damage and others”, he said, adding: “One crime which is ongoing in the Mamprobi district, which has largely contributed to the launch of this programme, is stealing”.
“The rate of stealing in Mamprobi, especially Chokor, is a bit worrisome,” he said.
