Two police officers interdicted for extorting money from motor rider

The Ghana Police Service says it interdicted two Policemen on 9th August, 2024 for allegedly extorting money from a motor pillion rider in Accra on 22nd July, 2024.
According to a Police source, the two, Lance Corporal Philimon Agbevem and Lance Corporal Peter Gbadagbo were immediately subjected to strict Police investigations when the allegations by the pillion rider, which went viral, got to the attention of the Police leadership.
A post on the social media handles of the Police says the two officers are currently assisting the investigation and will be put through the due process of the law.
