Adwoa Safo distributes mathematical sets to BECE candidates
The Member of Parliament (MP) for the Dome-Kwabenya Constituency Sarah Adwoa Safo has distributed over 4500 mathematical sets to Basic Education Certificate Examinations (BECE) candidates, through the Ga East Municipal Education Directorate.
This, she said, is to aid them in the examination which begins today, Monday, 14 September 2020.
She disclosed this on her Facebook while wishing them the best of luck.
The lawmaker was upbeat that they had prepared adequately for the exams, though it has not been an easy experience due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
She underscored the importance of education saying "Education is a matter of great importance to prosperity and a society that wishes to transform itself into a modern productive player in the global market, can only do so with the education and skills set of its young people.”
The Deputy Majority Leader reiterated the government’s commitment to placing a premium on education.
“It is why as a government and your MP, we have prioritised the Education of our young ones. Your future as beneficiaries of the Free Senior High School and Free Technical and Vocational Education Training is assured as the government remains committed to ensuring equal education opportunities for all as it continues to make significant investment into education,” she noted.
