Continue to feed pupils despite strike – GSFP to caterers
Management of the Ghana School Feeding Prorgramme (GSFP) has called on caterers to continue to provide meals for pupils despite the strike action by teacher unions.
The teachers embarked on a strike action on Monday, 4 July 2022, following government’s refusal to pay them 20 per cent of Cost of Living Allowance (COLA).
The Ghana Education Service (GES) despite the strike has called on head teachers to ensure schools remain open.
To this end, the GSFP has also directed the caterers to continue feeding the pupils until further directives are given.
