Defence Minister Joins military leaders at NCDS matriculation ceremony

The Minister of Defence, Dr. Edward Omane Boamah, joined senior military officials, including the Commandant of the National College of Defence Studies (NCDS), at the matriculation ceremony for the second batch of participants.

Speaking at the event, Dr. Boamah congratulated the new students and encouraged them to embrace the rigorous intellectual training that will equip them to tackle complex challenges.

“Congratulations in advance to our dear participants.

We wish you well in your journey of rigorous intellectual inquiry, which will enable you to solve complex challenges,” he said.

The Chief of Staff, Mr. Julius Debrah, reaffirmed the government’s commitment to supporting the NCDS, assuring that efforts are underway to enhance the institution’s infrastructure and resources.

The College, which plays a key role in training the next generation of strategic leaders, provides specialized education not only for the Ghana Armed Forces and Ghana Revenue Authority but also for various Ministries, Departments, and Agencies.

Additionally, it offers training for senior military officers from allied countries, reinforcing Ghana’s role in international security cooperation.

Dr. Boamah also encouraged professionals to consider enrolling in the Defence College’s upcoming Master’s Degree Programme, which is set to be announced in due course.

The event was attended by notable dignitaries, including Mr. Julius Debrah and the Minister for the Interior, Muntaka Mubarak, who expressed their support for the institution’s mission.

 

The National College of Defence Studies continues to strengthen Ghana’s defence and security framework, ensuring that military and civilian leaders are well-equipped to handle national and international security challenges.
