Kwahu West education directorate appeals for kindergarten furniture

The Kwahu West Municipal Education Directorate has appealed to the government, benevolent individuals, and organisations to support public kindergarten schools in the municipality with tables and chairs to improve teaching and learning conditions.
Speaking during the municipality’s “My First Day at School” celebration, Municipal Education Director George Yankyera stressed that adequate furniture is a critical need in early childhood education.
He noted that the kindergarten stage is the foundation for developing children’s cognitive abilities, social skills, and emotional growth, making the availability of proper learning resources indispensable.
Mr. Yankyera explained that as more children are enrolled in kindergarten, the demand for classroom furniture continues to grow, creating an urgent need for support.
The Municipal Chief Executive, Tamimu Halidu, also addressed the gathering, warmly welcoming the new pupils and encouraging teachers to serve as role models through exemplary conduct.
He further commended parents for their commitment to early childhood education, acknowledging their vital role in nurturing the next generation.
